Terms of Use
Last updated: 17 October 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Sandook (“Sandook”, “we”, “us”) for the use of the Sandook app and the website sandook.ai. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Sandook.
1. Using Sandook
- You must be 18 or older to use Sandook.
- Keep your sign-in secure. You are responsible for what happens in your account.
- Give us accurate information, and use Sandook only for your own personal, non-commercial use.
- We may change, pause or stop parts of Sandook, especially during the beta.
2. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- break any law, or help someone else do so;
- post anything objectionable: abusive, harassing, hateful, threatening, sexually explicit, violent or defamatory content, or content that demeans anyone because of their religion, caste, gender, sexuality, disability or origin;
- impersonate anyone, or post someone else’s personal information without their permission;
- post spam, advertising or links to harmful sites;
- post content you don’t have the right to share, or that infringes someone’s copyright, trademark or other rights;
- scrape, copy or resell Sandook’s content, access it by automated means, or try to break into, overload or reverse engineer the app or our servers;
- use Sandook to harm, stalk or bully anyone.
3. Zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users
Sandook has no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. Comments, reactions and suggestions you post in a shared trousseau must follow section 2. If they don’t, we remove the content, and we may suspend or permanently remove the account that posted it, without notice.
4. Reporting and blocking
- Report a comment, or the person who wrote it, from the menu on the comment, or by emailing support@sandook.ai.
- Block a person from the same menu. You will no longer see what they post.
- We review every report within 24 hours. When content breaks these terms, we remove it and remove the user who posted it.
5. Your content
You keep ownership of what you post. You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, show and process it so that Sandook can work (for example, to show your comments to the people in your trousseau). This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except as our Privacy Policy describes.
6. Products, retailers and their links
- Sandook helps you discover clothes, jewellery and accessories sold by independent retailers and designers. We don’t sell anything.
- “Buy” and product links open the retailer’s own website or app. Any purchase is made on that site, between you and that retailer, under their terms, prices, delivery, return and privacy policies. We are not a party to that purchase and are not responsible for it.
- Product names, photos, prices and availability come from the retailers and may be out of date. Check them on the retailer’s site before you buy.
- A link to a retailer is not an endorsement, and we are not responsible for the content of their sites.
7. Our content
Sandook’s app, design, name and logo belong to us. Product photos and descriptions belong to their retailers or designers. You may use them only to use Sandook, not to copy or republish them.
8. Ending your account
- You can delete your account at any time: Settings → Delete account, or the account deletion form.
- We may suspend or terminate your account, immediately and without notice, if you break these terms, especially sections 2 and 3, or if the law requires it.
- Sections 5 (as far as the Privacy Policy keeps your content), 6, 7, 9, 10 and 12 continue after your account ends.
9. Disclaimers
Sandook is provided “as is” and “as available”. We work to keep it accurate and running, but we don’t promise that it will always be available or error-free, or that its recommendations will suit you.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for anything arising from a purchase you make from a retailer. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
11. Apple’s standard terms
If you downloaded Sandook from Apple’s App Store, your licence to use the app is also governed by Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the standard EULA). Where it and these terms differ about the licence of the app itself, Apple’s EULA applies. Apple is not responsible for Sandook or its content and has no obligation to support it.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and disputes are subject to the courts of India. Questions about them go to support@sandook.ai.
13. Changes
We may update these terms. We’ll change the date at the top, and tell you in the app before a significant change takes effect. Using Sandook after that means you accept the new terms.
